Our Story
At 19, founder Steve Chamberland learned the craft on Colorado’s “painted ladies”—Victorian homes where masterful surface preparation and precision painting were demanded.
Back home in Connecticut, he launched Chamberland Professional Painting in 2002 with a simple promise: paint with pride and foster lasting customer relationships built on trust, consistency, quality, and professionalism.
Today, we are known across West Hartford, Glastonbury, and the Farmington Valley as an established leader in painting, carpentry, and home improvement, with 24 years and counting.

Our Process & Promise
We start with a FREE project consultation with one of our friendly and knowledgeable estimators, followed by a clearly defined and itemized written proposal, complete with marked up photos and specific project details, all within your very own customer portal.
Friendly office staff will help with questions and ensure timely contract documents, accurate scheduling, and color selection recording.
Upon arrival, our crews will focus on room prep and containment (rosin paper paths, fully covering and protecting flooring, removing and safely storing hardware), followed by meticulous surface preparation: repairs, sanding, caulking and filling, substrate-specific primers, and smooth, brush-mark-free, furniture-quality finishes, complete with daily job site cleanups and an unwavering focus on razor-sharp cut lines and fine details.
You will receive proactive project updates before and during your project, as well as a written warranty upon completion. You will have lifetime access to all your colors, sheens, documents, and project logs through your very own project portal.
