Frequently Asked Questions

F.A.Q.
  • What are the benefits of painting my existing cabinets over replacing them?

Painting your existing cabinets offers homeowners a cost-effective and efficient way to transform the look of their kitchen or bathroom without having to incur the large cost, intrusive demo and lead time it takes to fully replace them.  Painting cabinets is often less than a third of the cost of replacement and when combined with new hardware and our signature 7 – step process, you can have cabinets just like brand new in typically 7 days or less.

  • I’m nervous about future chipping and durability issues once our cabinets are painted, is this a valid concern?

The good news is that our signature 7-step process is designed to produce maximum adhesion and durability. We approach every cabinet project with durability top of mind, and our years of successful, long lasting cabinet projects are proof our system works- so you can rest easy knowing your newly painted cabinets will hold up to your busy lifestyle.

  • Do I need to empty my cabinets before the painting process?

No, in most cases you do not.  The interiors of your cabinets stay unpainted so that you have the most durable finish possible where heavy usage of storing items occurs. You will only have to clear out cabinets with glass doors, as we do paint cabinet interiors in those cases. Otherwise, we meticulously mask and protect everything inside your cabinets, ensuring clean and flawless protection throughout the painting process.

  • What type of paint and finish do you use for cabinet painting?

We typically use Sherwin-Williams Gallery Series in a satin finish, which provides a durable, factory-smooth look. We evaluate each and every project on an individual basis and make our product decisions based on your specific conditions.  There are several options out there, and we have tried and tested all of them and always know which will be the perfect choice for you.
