Frequently Asked Questions
F.A.Q.
No, in most cases you will not have to fully clear out a room or move any furniture. We take great care setting up our work area before any prep or painting begins, and our crews will make sure all your furniture is safe and protected throughout the project. We carefully move furniture to the center of the room, then cover them carefully with new, clean lightweight plastic. We cover all the floors with new, clean rosin paper and tape all furniture plastic tight to the paper. We install dust control walls onto all openings into other rooms and remove all hardware such as doorknobs, hinges and window locks so that they stay paint free. Typically, we ask customers to remove things from the walls and small items from the furniture- and thats about it!
Yes, we do most of our interior painting during the winter months! Using specialty air handling and HEPPA vacuum equipment and zero VOC no odor paints, we keep the air moving, filtered, clean and dust free no matter what is happening outdoors. Without any competition from exterior projects, we can typically start winter interior painting projects within 2 weeks or less of approval.
Yes. In fact we have several incredibly talented carpenters on staff who can install or build any type of new interior trim detail. We specialize in wainscot, shiplap, tongue and groove, crown molding, bookcases, shelving, closet solutions, mantels, fireplace surrounds, full wall units, doors, casings, benches, cubbies and more. Best part is they all get the Chamberland quality finish too!
We primarily use Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams because of their supreme coverage, excellence in color retention, and proven durability. Besides the amazing colors and sheens available from both brands, we can also offer our customers in house color consultations through our local paint dealers.
